With the exception of replacing electrical and a few walls, the work in the guest rooms was mostly cosmetic (paint/windows/trim). We used one of these rooms as a safe haven when we moved into the house, sealing off the room so we had a place to sleep and eat that was dust free. We woke up early and called it quits late as we worked to get the rest of the house in shape. Our weekends and evenings were spent chipping away at each room and within 4 months, we broke out of the quarantined guest room. Our projects then became more segmented and we were able to live in the house as we worked. These rooms still have a way to go, as we hope to expose the beams in these ceilings, but, for now, they are home to our guests and whom we love to house.
